New Collection with New Inspiration
The inspiration from a genuine appreciation for the culture and belief of my second home Hong Kong which reflects the love and respect for being true to ourselves.
And it is compounded by my experience and deep relationship with this culture.
I first become aware of the Zodiac system based on the lunar calendar after I got married. My mother in law followed this lunar zodiac
and she explained to me about who in our family is what animal sign according to the year of birth.
For the first time I realised that a lot of people who follow the buddhist way of life in Nepal (where i was born and bought up) also follow this zodiac system.
Each Zodiac sign is named after an animal, derived from Chinese folklore. The zodiac animals follow one another in an established order and are repeated every 12 years:
Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig.
Having Lived in Japan, Singapore and now based in Hong Kong, all 3 countires where it is a way of life, my fasination and interest only kept increasing.
Every New Year the new sign in ushered in with much fanfare.
My desire to give this feeling a KN touch has finally resulted in a beautiful, inclusive and affordable luxurious collection
